Almario Obera, 91, of New Milford, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Born and raised in the Philippines, he immigrated to the U.S. in 2004 and has resided in New Milford for 15 years. He was an avid basketball fan and played for his work’s basketball team. He also enjoyed watching movies. Prior to retiring, he was employed with the Philippine government. Mario was predeceased by his parents, Marcial and Gertrudes (Mariano) Obera, his beloved wife Elsa (Villanueva) Obera, his dear granddaughter Alyssa Arlaus, his brother Bonifacio Obera and sister Gloria (Obera) Ignacio. Mario is survived by his loving children Alma Arlaus and husband Richard, Alberto Obera and wife Ana, and Aleli Obera. Cherished grandfather of Angelo, Alyana, Alexis and Anakin.
