Obituary for Blanche C. Rapenske (Krause)

Blanche C. Rapenske (Krause), former resident of Glen Rock, NJ, passed away November 28, 2023, comforted by her children.

Blanche grew up in Richfield Springs, NY, where she met and married her loving husband, Bob. Bob predeceased Blanche in 2012, she has missed him every day since and looked forward to being reunited with him again. Blanche was a parishioner of St. Catharine RC Church in Glen Rock. Blanche was also a dedicated and long-time volunteer at the Valley Hospital Gift Shop, Kurth Cottage, and an aide for the Glen Rock School district working at Central and Byrd Schools for many years. Blanche enjoyed movies, crafts, collecting, shows, and travel with her husband and lifelong friend, Bob. She thoroughly enjoyed tending to her flower garden, which grew bigger each year.

She was a dedicated and loving wife, and loving mother to Pamela Biggs and late husband, Timothy Biggs, Robert M. Rapenske (the late Nancy Rapenske) and his wife, Joanne (Conlan), Cynthia Rapenske and partner, Peter White, Susan Garlow and husband, Frederick.

One of her greatest joys was her role as a grandmother and her relationships with her grandchildren. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ashley Biggs, Brett Biggs, Melissa Micari (Rapenske), Peter Rapenske, Thomas Garlow, Kyle Garlow, and the late Justin Biggs.

Blanche was predeceased by her mother and father, Lillian and Albert Krause, her brothers, Albert and Phillip, and survived by her sisters, June Krause and Lillian Cantwell.

She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday December 2, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at St. Catharine RC Church, 905 South Maple Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ. A funeral mass will follow the Visitation at 11:00 a.m., with burial immediately following at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
