HORAN, Donald “Don” passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 17, 2022. After being born and raised on Staten Island, Don settled with his family in Westfield, NJ where he resided for 40 years. Don served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the US Navy. He studied political science at Hunter College before working as a project designer for Comcast Cable for 35 years.

Don is survived by his beloved spouse of 41 years Anne (Blackman) Horan, daughter Elizabeth DeNagel (Nathan), son Timothy Horan (Madelyn), grandchildren William and Caroline DeNagel, brothers Michael “Tommy” Horan (Nancy) and William Horan (Karen). Don was predeceased by his father Donald Horan and mother Rita (Crowley) Horan.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his family and lifelong friends for his sharp and dry sense of humor, talent in the kitchen, and his great love of music.

Friends and family may visit the Horan family on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 4-8 PM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ. Interment will be at Christ the King Cemetery, 980 Huron Road Franklin Lakes, New Jersey Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:30am.
