Obituary for Donald C. Tumser

Donald C. Tumser, 94, passed peacefully in his home on October 6th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on April 3, 1928, to Leo and Mary (Stewart) Tumser. He worked for Lea & Perrins in Fair Lawn for 19 years before “retiring” , only to work another 27 years as a Bus Aide for Special Education students for Scholastic Bus.

After graduating Fair Lawn High School in 1946, Don became a proud USA Veteran of the Korean War, having served his country from 1950 - 1955 as an Artillery Gunner for the Army 45th Division.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Elizabeth; his children Mary, Kevin (Lisa), and Keith (Alison); 6 Cherished grandchildren; Catherine (Kirill), Angela (Vinny), Eddie, Kyle, Kaylee, and Alisha and 4 amazing great grandchildren; Ava, Aviana, Vinny, and Tyson

He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Mary Tumser; and his brothers Bob and Roy.

Private services will be held for Donald, who will be forever remembered as being a truly devoted family man and USA loving veteran.
