Eileen Fitzmaurice, known for her kind and caring heart, touched the lives of many throughout her 61 years passed away peacefully at her sister’s home in Glen Rock, NJ on Friday, January 13, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

Eileen dedicated her most recent years to helping raise and care for her niece Fiona. She was deeply devoted to Fiona – driving her to activities, cheering her on at her soccer games, bringing her Starbucks coffee, and making her favorite salmon dinner. She was always there to support Fiona and her loving sister, Mary Ann Reilly. They will always cherish her candidness, her vivid memory, and her love of laughter.

Eileen was born in the Bronx, NY to the late Mary and James P. Fitzmaurice. She spent many years in Albany, NY working as a travel agent for Carlson Wagonlit supporting travel for the military. Eileen had a passion for animals, especially cats. Cats and kittens would always put a big smile on her face.

Eileen is survived by her Aunt Joan Byrne, brother James P. Fitzmaurice, Jr. and sisters Ann Corson, Anastasia Ritter, Mary Ann Reilly and Catherine Gong, along with nieces and nephews Alexandra, Ryan, Sarah, Meghan, Jimmy, Fiona and Jason.
