Obituary for Elizabeth Josephine Giszack (Simon)
Elizabeth Giszack, 102, passed away peacefully at home on March 16th, 2023 surrounded by her longtime friends and caregivers, Alicia Guio and Elena Kalika.
Liz was born on March 14th, 1921 to Felix and Josephine Simon in Paterson, NJ. At a young age she joined the Navy until her honorable discharge in April of 1954. In 1954 she married Anthony J. Giszack until his death in 2000. She was also predeceased by her son, Michael Giszack Sr.
Liz was a longtime employee of both the Fair Lawn Recreational Department and Columbia Bank of Fair Lawn. She was also a huge Green Bay Packers fan. She loved the NJ shore area and animals. Liz was a mentor and left an indelible mark on many and continued to do so up until her death.
She is survived by her son Anthony F. Giszack. of Wisconsin.
