Veterans Day
The U.S. Military has changed
Over the years
This is the first time in history
It is all volunteers
They come from all walks of life
Those that answer the call
Male, female, short and tall
Multiple ethnicitys one size fits all
Why do they do it? It comes from inside
Veterans go towards danger
They don’t run and hide
They have served all over the world
In some pretty dark places
Most come home. You’ve seen their faces.
To the ones that gave all
And never came back.
From Europe, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq
They did it so you and me could be free
To live in a country with promise and opportunity.
There is nothing better
Than living the American way.
Make sure you thank a Veteran
On Veterans Day
