Ioannis Zois, 90, passed away on November 26, 2022 at Monmouth Medical Center with his family by his side. Ioannis was born on September 27, 1932 in the small village of Lavdani Ioanninon in northwest Greece. He lived in Piraeus, Greece until 1969 when he married Alexandra Kampitsi, and together they emigrated to the United States to begin a new life. They settled down in Bergen County, New Jersey where they lived together for 38 years. Until his retirement, Ioannis worked tirelessly as a commercial baker for Marathon Enterprises in East Rutherford, NJ. Selflessly working nights, holidays, foregoing vacations and taking every overtime shift he could get, his purpose and joy was being able to provide for his family. In 2007, Ioannis lost his beloved Alexandra, after which he moved to Jackson, NJ to live with his daughter.

Ioannis is survived by his loving daughter, Ria Zois Santos, son-in-law, Dale Santos and his two cherished grandchildren, Yianni and Alexandra Santos. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Dana and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Greece.

Ioannis is predeceased by his wife, Alexandra, his parents, Michael and Eleftheria (nee Korda) and his brother, Panagiotis.
