Obituary for Jack Andrew Riley Sr.

Jack A. Riley, Sr., 79, of Fair Lawn passed away on Tuesday, February 21st in the comfort of his home with his loving daughter at his side. He grew up in Florida where he resided for 17 years before joining the Navy. While in the Navy he met Patricia Benevento. Together Jack and Patricia raised their three children: Cindy, Jack Jr., and Eileen. Jack and Patricia enjoyed 50 years of marriage before her passing.

Jack worked for Anheuser-Busch from 1964 through retirement. Throughout his time at Anheuser-Busch, he was an active member of Teamsters Local 102. In 1979 he was elected Union Trustee for Local 102 and in 1993 he was elected President of Teamsters Local 102.

After retirement at the age of 57, he and Pat traveled the world sightseeing and spending time together. He enjoyed spending his days playing golf with his wife and kids. He enjoyed spending time at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City. Jack was a fierce negotiator both at work and in his personal life. He always believed in helping others and doing what was right. He knew how to throw party. There wasn’t a 4th of July or Super Bowl that wasn’t spent with his friends and family. He loved the Jets, Mets and The Florida Gators.

Jack is predeceased by his wife Patricia Riley (Benevento). He is survived by his son Jack Riley, Jr. and his daughters Cindy Davin and her husband Marty Davin, Eileen Baumann and her husband Keith Baumann; as well as his grandchildren, Kelly, Shannon, Carley, Megan, Jake, Zach, Tyler, Parker; and his great-grandchildren Dakota, Kylie, Riley, and Nora.
