Jeannette M. Kearns, 104, formerly of Hackensack and Fair Lawn, N.J., currently a resident of Lenox, Ma., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Before retiring, she was a teacher in Radburn School, Fair Lawn, N.J. for 30 years. She was a member of the National and New Jersey Education Associations, the Bergen County Retired Teachers Associations, and the Phi Gamma Pro sorority. She graduated from Monmouth Jr. College, which is now Monmouth University, Paterson State Teacher’s College, which is now William Paterson University, and she received a Master’s degree from Seton Hall University. In her retirement, she was a longtime volunteer at Hackensack University Medical Center. Jeannette was a faithful communicant of St. Anne’s Church in Fair Lawn, NJ. for many years and more recently St. Ann Church in Lenox, Ma. Jeannette is survived by her son, Dr. John R. Kearns, his wife Kathryn of Lenox, MA.; 2 grandchildren, John “Johnny” Kearns, his partner Molly of Los Angeles, CA and Jacqueline Frazer, her husband Ryan, of North Adams, MA. Her husband, Walter J.
