Joan Valerie Simiele – Our Beloved Mother and Gran sadly passed away on Thursday April 20, 2023 at the age of 83. A dedicated Teacher for the State of New Jersey for over 30 years. Education was a true passion and she worked to always provide a successful path of learning for every student. Joan loved to spend time with her family traveling on vacations, trying new restaurants or just playing UNO with her grandkids. Joan had a wonderful competitive spirit and fantastic sense of humor and will be greatly missed. Joan was pre-deceased by her husband Robert Simiele on January 14, 2017. Joan is survived by her two children Scott Crawford and his wife Paula, Leslie Mercy and her husband Joel and four beautiful grandsons Ryan Crawford, Mathew Crawford, Brandon Mercy and Calvin Mercy. Joan also leaves behind a much loved stepson Mark Simiele.
