Obituary for Juana Evangelista Marmolejos
Juana Evangelista Marmolejos, 90, of Paramus went home to the Lord on March 29, 2023. Juana was born in the Dominican Republic to Miguel Antonio Estevez and Ana Loreta Perez. She emigrated to the United States in 1969. She met Tomas Marmolejos in 1975 and were wed in 1989. Juana and Tomas enjoyed over 20 years of a loving marriage before his passing.
Juana was a woman who was full of life and who always had a smile on her face. She was the first to move to the beat of a drum or even a song on an infomercial. She enjoyed a friendly game of bingo and ALWAYS played her Sunday Dominican lottery. She loved to share a meal with her family and friends and always had a great time wherever she went.
She was a doting grand mother who looked forward to spending the weekends with her grandkids. No matter the distance (4 trains) she would schlep in rain or snow to pick them up.
She was like a spanish Lucille Ball. Fiery red hair with an infectious laugh to match.
When spending time with her she would make you the center of attention and feel very special.
Juana leaves behind her beloved sons Rene Antonio Estevez (spouse Lituania Estevez), Ivan Geovanny Garrido Estevez (partner Bernarda Cabrera) and daughter in law Emma Garrido, and daughters Yanet Estevez and Veronica A Estevez.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Yajaira Renata Rosario (spouse Anibal Rosario), Ivan Geovanny Garrido II, Ivan Geovanny Garrido III, Rene Estevez Jr. (spouse Amanda Estevez), Ivangelina Aliza Garrido (partner Alejandro Amitrano), Tatiana Renata Nunez (spouse Andres Aníbal Nunez), Ivanessa Jennifer Garrido and Leandro Estevez (spouse Melissa Estevez)
She also leaves behind her cherished great grandchildren
