Obituary for Manuel Morón

Manuel Morón, more commonly known as Manny, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the age of 91. Born in Metuchen, NJ to Amparo and Francisco Moron.

Manny graduated from Barringer High School in Newark, NJ in 1950. In 1951, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona. In order to make extra money to send to his family, he was a barber for the service men. After the service, he studied engineering at RCA institute. In 1959, Manny and his brother Frank owned and operated L & M Machine and Tool Company where he was a precision machinist/engineer. Manny was very passionate about his career. He was a pioneer in the tool and die industry who was able to fix anything that was put in front of him. Manny was an incredibly brilliant and skilled man. After 66 years, he dissolved the business in 2022.

Manny met his future wife Rosemarie at Bogue Electric Manufacturing in Paterson, NJ. In 1961, at the age of 30, they married. In 1966, Manny and Rosie settled in Fair Lawn, NJ where they raised 4 children. Together they enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. Manny enjoyed tinkering, fixing things and inventing items to make a task easier and more efficient. He also enjoyed traveling with his children and grandchildren and going to the Jersey Shore.

Manny is survived by his four loving children: Maria Morone Zotto (Dominic); Manny Morone; Laura Chiappetta (Gino); and Paula C. Klein (Jeffrey). Manny is also survived by his 3 grandchildren whom he adored: Cole, Alexa and Chase. Manny was predeceased by his loving wife, Rosemarie P. in 1992.
