Maureen Jude Hayes,89, of Glen Rock, passed peacefully, January 25th, 2023. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY she resided in Glen Rock for over fifty years. Mrs. Hayes attended Saint Francis Xavier Academy in NY and then went on to Pratt Institute, NY to receive a degree from the School of Home Economics, where she was a member of the Delta Pi Alpha Sorority. A faithful and dedicated parishioner of St. Catharine RC Church in Glen Rock, she was a Daily Communicant and a Eucharistic Minister. Maureen had a deep faith and participated in many activities of service with her late husband Bill. Prior to her retirement she was an Attendance Administrator of Education for Glen Rock Schools for many years during her career.

She is predeceased by her late Husband William J. Hayes. Devoted mother to her two children William D. Hayes and his wife Elisa, Brianne, and her husband Kevin Haase. A cherished grandmother to Ryan and his wife Meredith, Erin, Kelly, Tara and her Husband Adam, Brigid, Clare, Brendan and his wife Anna, Timothy and his wife Aimee, Charles and his wife Julie, Estelle and Rudolph. A loving great grandmother to Hudson, Hunter, Otto, Henry, Lea, Grant, and Olivia.

The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Vander Plaat Colonial Home; 13- 31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, 07410. Maureen’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. St. Catharine RC Church, 905 S. Maple Ave, Glen Rock, NJ 07452. Interment to follow at St Luke’s Cemetery in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.
