Rita Murphy, 94, of Glen Rock died peacefully on February 3, 2023. She was born and raised in Dubuque Iowa to Virgil and Edith Forment. Rita was a receptionist at the A. Zerega’s Sons Inc. pasta factory for many years before her retirement. She was one of the founding members of the “Hotsy Totsy Red Hats of Glen Rock” and was an avid animal lover having had many cats and dogs throughout her lifetime.

Rita leaves behind her beloved son Michael Murphy along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Melissa Maloney, her parents Virgil and Edith (nee White) Forment, her brother Virgil Jr. and her sister Gloria Fina.
