KANE, Robert Conrad Sr., 89 of Bloomingdale, formerly of Fair Lawn and Paterson, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. He was born in Paterson, NJ to Harold and Amelia (Lagrosa) Kane. After graduating high school and attending college, Robert served his country proudly in the US Army from 1953-1955. After this Robert went on to become the Vice President of Fair Lawn Transportation in Paterson before his retirement in the early 1990’s. Family was of the utmost importance to Robert. He and his loving wife Margaret were blessed with four children, and when the blessing of grandchildren came, Robert could not be more proud, and he was always a devoted advocate for them. He always put the needs and wants of his family and others before himself. Robert was a former member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Anne’s. A huge Yankees and Giants fan, Robert thoroughly enjoyed watching as many games as he could!

Loving husband of 56 years to his dear wife, Margaret (Ryan) Kane of West Milford, formerly of Fair Lawn. Beloved father to Robert (Patricia) Kane, Mary Ellen (Wayne) Loranger, Ann Margaret Kane, and William (Lori) Kane. Beloved grandfather of Brendan, Julia, Dylan, Emma, Owen, Harrison, Trevor, Molly, Truman, Norah, Wilson, and Samuel. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Heres.

Friends may visit the Kane family on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 3-7 PM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. Funeral mass to be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 1 Passaic Street, Ridgewood, NJ. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
