Obituary for Scott M. Colegrove

Scott Michael Colegrove of Hillsdale, a very amazing and loving soul passed into the light at the age of 42, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Scott had a contagious laugh and a gift for making everyone he touched feel loved and safe. If you were close to Scott you have rocks all over your house to protect you and you have listened to his endless hysterical stories and were sung to at some point in time. He was a loving son, protective brother, adoring uncle and a committed friend. Scott found a positive in even the worst situations or people and always encouraged friends and family to strive to be their very best self.

Scott was an entrepreneur with amazing ideas and a creative spin on life. He owned multiple companies and was determined to always take care of his family so they need not worry for anything. He was a son who loved his Mom and was her very best friend. Scott was a brother who adored his older sister KerriLynn and younger sister Arielle and was determined to make them happy and proud at all times. He was an Uncle to his niece Skyelar and nephew Michael whom he adored and made sure they were always taken care of. Scott held a large part of raising Skyelar and served as a father figure to her. Even on his worst days if you needed anything he was there within the hour. He loved his friends and family more than life itself.

Scott is survived by his mother Patricia, sisters KerriLynn and Arielle, niece Skyelar, nephew Michael, uncles, cousins and countless friends. It has left a hole in our hearts that Scott is no longer physically with us,but we feel solace knowing he is now reunited with his best friends Chris and Murph as well as his little cousin Anthony and amazing Gram.

Please remember Scott as the goofball that he was with his creative and artistic self and hilarious adventures. He is the only person I know that has a story with every individual he had a relationship with. Remember the stories, the laughter, the clumsiness, the singing and the fact that he would literally help even a stranger on the street. Scott was the most loving and passionate person I have ever known. He will remain in our hearts and continue to watch over all those that he loved. This is a man that will be immensely missed.
