Our mother, Susa Genuino, 84 years old, passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 12, 2023. She was born to the late Potenciano Kapunan and Paz Martinez Kapunan in Mambusao, Capiz, Philippines. She was a retired Registered Nurse and worked a as the Director of Nursing at Hamilton Plaza in Passaic and as an OR nurse at Barnert Hospital in Paterson, NJ. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Gerry Genuino, siblings, Arturo Kapunan, Jesusa Kapunan, Cicero Kapunan, Leona Kapunan Tiangco, Potenciano Kapunan, Jesus Kapunan, Santiago Kapunan, and Arturo Kapunan. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Oscar Genuino, son Glenn Genuino, daughter Grace Timonere, daughter-in-law Mary Jane Genuino, grandchildren Glenn Genuino, Gavin Genuino, Geni Genuino, Geraldine Genuino Michael Timonere, Grace Genuino and Brandon Timonere. Her surviving siblings, Santiago Kapunan (2nd), Paz Kapunan Publico, Potenciano Kapunan Jr., Erlinda Kapunan Tesoro and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces. Our mother, Susa, was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
